iCat Fan Commercial by Foley

Foley of Dingle Comic did this fan video of the iCat:

I learned something today. If I switch to a program that is running in the background to take a break from drawing and my computer starts acting funny…NEVER save my Photoshop file again. You see, I normally obsessively save my file so if I took the time to switch to another program, I definitely had saved all of my changes to the file.

No – I had to go and be a Douche Burglar and save the file one more time as OS X began to choke. I rebooted and found that somehow, my file would not open.

So I had to re draw this comic.

I’m OK with that. At this point I’m a seasoned professional. Shit happens, and I know how to recover from it and I am also mentally prepared to redo entire files. It’s just another part of the job description.

So the moral of the story is that if you lose your file, don’t worry. Most likely the second time you do it will be much nicer looking.

Aside from that, break things. @_@

Is it ever a good thing to be “expected” in the Deathside? I guess our heroes will find out soon.

No, the moral of the story is to use “Save As…”, or if available, “Save Incremental”.

  2. Well.. you know what they say, there are two kinds of computer users… “those you have lost data, and those who WILL.”

I am vividly reminded of actually hosing my total system… because I ASKED IT TO DO SOMETHING STUPID in a moment of towering WTF. And blessed faithful box… it TRIED.

And yes, had to rebuild a big chunk of that file…
