Is today’s comic really so much of a stretch? Really, have you read anything at all recently on the economy and not thought this was all created by nefarious sources? The insidious element is that it wants to be framed as perfectly normal and rational. Much like the Geriatric Ones and their ilk, the more you look at it the more you can’t keep a sane mind. Exactly as planned, I suppose.
