I belong to Netflix
We got a Netflix account. Oh my god. I have seen more films in the past 3 weeks than I have in my entire life.
That’s actually not that hard. I haven’t seen many movies, ever. I’m catching up. I wasn’t allowed to watch most things as a child and couldn’t justify theater prices as an adult.
So far I’ve seen and highly reccommend:
Ichi the Killer - A violent film about NOT a hero. This has become my favorite film ever (full blog post to come), but please do not watch if you can’t handle violence. There are also some disturbing rape scenes in this film, too.
Jesus Camp – A documentary about an evangelical Christian camp. This film disturbed me a lot. On one hand the people seem really nice, but the things they are telling the children are just terrifying. It broke my heart to see 8 year old children crying because they are being told they are full of sin. This is the scariest movie I have ever seen in my life.
I’m about to watch:
Tokyo Gore Police – An over the top Japanese movie about genetically enhanced people called “engineers” and the police who must kill them. One guy has a giant machinegun penis.
Samurai Princess – An android Samurai girl must avenge her friends. She can pull her breasts off and throw them at people to blow their heads off.
Oh man. This is gonna rock. HAHAHAHA. Movies I’d never think of…but Netflix lets me stream them!!!
I also want to watch La Femme Nikita and finish off Dexter.
