Welcome to the beginning of the new Onezumi.com, and the last news post of this version of Onezumi.com. Yup, we are making some major changes which will reinvent both the site system and the comic itself. This version of our site has been running since 2003, and it's reached the end of the line. It served well and got us online at a time when it wasn't easy to get something like this up and running. But times change and we need to move on.
Here's the plan: This site will not be taken down, but will now be called the "Classic" Onezumi.com site. The current comic, which will be the last one posted here, is a bit of a cliffhanger that will be continued on the new site--but this is where things get interesting. Since we are taking the opportunity to change the site design, we will also be making a change to the comic organization also.
On the new Stupid and Insane Defenders Against Chaos site we will be starting the comic up again from comic number 1, but this will be a different comic number 1 then the one in the comic archive on this site. Imagine it as when a new series of a comic book comes out, and they do a recap of the previous history of the comic and then move on to new stories--that's how things will be now moving forward. Some comics from the archive on this site will move to the new one, but many won't. This does not mean that they don't exist or aren't part of the story--in fact we're keeping this site up specifically because they are part of the history of the characters--but they are now "optional" reading, and serve to help clarify and deepen the characterizations of the characters, but aren't necessary for the storyline that the new site will be telling.
We will be posting comics to the new site daily until we again make it back to the cliffhanger comic that this site ends with. Along the way we will be adding in new comics that appear between comics that originally appeared here, and in some cases altering some of the comics here with new plot points or to add in new elements. Even if you've read every comic before, I guarantee you'll find new things as we reprint and move the story back up to the present.
We're very excited by how this will work, we hope you guys will be as excited as we are and enjoy the new site design and set up. As usual please send us your feedback or post on the forum.
